Fantastic new purpose built accommodation opened in September
2008 at Percy Lane. The smart facilities cater for 272 students on
a self-catering basis.
The accommodation is split into shared flats with en-suite
facilities for small groups of students and self contained studio
flats. Internet access is available from all bedrooms. Rent is
exclusive of fuel. You will need to supply your own bedding,
towels, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Laundry facilities
are also available. Students living at Percy Lane will also be
required to pay a fuel deposit of £300. Adjustments for over
or underpayments are made after the end of the contract when the
meters are read and the final bills received.
Students will be wholly responsible for cleaning within the
flats. A high level of security is provided by controlled access to
all entrances and CCTV cameras which are linked to a 24 hour
security office at Lord Mayor's Walk.
The accommodation is a 15 minute walk to York St John's main
campus and a 5 minute walk to the city centre.
There are three categories of rooms at Percy's Lane:-
Category M - Standard room in cluster flat
Category N - Superior room in cluster flat (larger room
with double bed)
Category O - Self contained studio apartment with double bed
