On Wednesday 28 March 2012 York St John
University will be celebrating its Foundation Day and is
inviting all staff, students and alumni to come and join in
with the activities and events throughout the day.
Foundation Day celebrates the day on which
York St John University (then known as York Diocesan Training
School) opened its doors to its first pupil, Edward Cordukes in
1841. The University recognises this day by running a number of
events across the day and holding a ‘Go York Lecture’ in the
evening to conclude the days celebrations.
