Study abroad

Study abroad opportunitiesHello, and a very warm welcome to the Study Abroad webpages for current York St John University undergraduate students. Through visiting this site you are evidently interested in this opportunity of a lifetime, and we look forward to working with you towards this adventure! We offer a variety of study abroad exchange opportunities across the globe. We are here to offer advice, guidance, and support during the application procedures and throughout your exchange programme.

The key to a successful study abroad exchange is commitment and preparation from the outset. In addition, we try to make you aware of your responsibilities as an exchange student prior to and throughout your study abroad experience.

The deadline for applications to Study Abroad next year (2012-13) was Friday 13 January 2012.

Study Abroad FAQ's

  • Will studying overseas add time to my degree? NO. Going on exchange is meant to be part of your degree programme. You spend one semester or one year studying your subject in another country, and this is part of your 3 years of study.
  • Will I have to pay foreign tuition? NO. When going on exchange to one of our partner institutions, you pay your tuition to York St John as usual and then you simply go abroad for the semester/year.
