York St John University is once again offering five international scholarships giving full tuition fee waiver for overseas fee paying students applying for entry to Masters programmes in academic year 2010-11.  Successful students will pay no tuition fee for the programme on which they are accepted.

Terms of the scholarships

  • Five full fee scholarships will be awarded for the academic year 2010-11.
  • The scholarships will be available for applicants to all taught Masters degrees of the University.
  • Two of the five scholarships will be open to all international (overseas fee status) students.

  • One scholarship for a student from Asia.

  • One scholarship for a student from Africa.
  • In the event that there is no suitable applicant from one of these geographical areas, the University reserves the right to allocate the scholarship to a student from a different country.
  • Scholarships will be given to the most able students as evidenced by their completion of the international scholarship application form and by their original candidate statement and/or letter of application.  The University reserves the right to request further evidence where necessary.
  • The award of the scholarships will be determined by the University Committee on Scholarships and Prizes.  The decision of the committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The deadline for applications for scholarships for students entering in September 2010 or January 2011 is 30 June 2010.
  • Successful applicants will be notified within two weeks of the application deadline.
