Welcome to the ICT Services pages where you will find links to
resources, helpful advice and how to contact us.
ICT Services is responsible for providing academic and
administrative computing, networking and applications, support for
centrally managed teaching space, training for staff and connections to
the internet both on site and in our student residences.
ICT Services are integral to your learning,
teaching and research experience. There are over 400 open access
PCs in the Fountains Learning Centre, De Greys Court and the
Holgate Centre; some of which are available 24/7.
All University PCs allow access to both the
Internet and to the York St John intranet, through which you will
use supported open learning materials. This means that you can
study at the time, pace, and place that suits you.
You can use any of our open access PCs to
access your learning materials, our Virtual Learning Environment,
e-mail and the student desktop of software, which includes the full
Microsoft Office 2007 suite. Media editing suites, scanning and
full printing and copying facilities are also available.
