Prior to working at York St John University Hannah held a
variety of posts in Department of Health and NHS settings. By
background Hannah is a clinical librarian and her most recent post
before coming to York was as Knowledge Manager at Airedale NHS
Trust. At York St John Hannah teaches across a broad range of
health related undergraduate and postgraduate modules. She
specifically takes the lead on information literacy issues for
evidence based health practice, teaches research methods and
supports research capacity development within the Faculty advising
and leading on systematic reviews and other research projects.
Hannah is currently working with the Allied Health Professions
Research and Effectiveness Forum for Yorkshire to which she is
seconded part-time as an integrated member. She is a reviewer
for the British Journal of Occupational Therapy, Editor for the
Learning and Teaching in Action regular feature of the Health
Information and Libraries Journal (HILJ) and a member of the HILJ
editorial board. She also works with Nottingham University as
an independent reviewer and content provider for the Intute Health
and Life Sciences database.

Current Projects
Hannah is currently undertaking a PhD looking into the
priorities and barriers to research development in health
librarianship and the relationship between this and evidence-based
health practice.
Hannah also has membership on a variety of research teams both
internally and external to the University. She is a member of
the Research Centre for Occupation and Mental Health (RCOMH) and
currently collaborating on a number of projects as part of
this.
