Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy
and Spiritual Care Team serves all members of the University
and supports prospective students, graduates and associates of our
community.
We seek to provide a holistic framework of spiritual
support. Not only can you meet with members of the Team, but you can also
use our developing online resources for your own spiritual development.
We provide a rhythm of Christian prayer and worship throughout the
year, in term-time and vacations and a place of prayer and quiet
for the world religions.
It is easy to find the Chaplaincy: we
offer a non-judgemental, confidential listening ear service. The
Chaplaincy team members fully respect each person's identity and
beliefs.
The Chapel Building, Prayer Room and Peace
Garden are open to everyone. As well as daily services
during term time, two local Churches
meet on campus on Sundays and the
student-led Christian Union has a main meeting on Thursdays
plus small groups, special events and prayer meetings.
The Chaplaincy is funded by the University and the
Diocese of York.
