The time does indeed draw near when you must
make your university choice but try not to feel pressured. You
still have time left to ask questions or even visit a campus if you

It’s that time of year when year 12’s begin
their university research. UCAS fairs have now started and it’s the
beginning of a very busy time for us in Schools Liaison. Travelling
across the country to attend UCAS events, a different city or town
each day, a different set of students asking us questions… Sounds
like fun doesn’t it .. And it is! I love it!

We’re well into the Visit Day season now and firming up all the
plans for our last two Visit Days on 17 March and 4 April. We
had a great event on 15 February and the campus had a real buzz
about it - it was lovely to meet all those who came along. (Note to
self: remember to wear flat shoes next time!)

I’m not afraid to admit that even I have
enjoyed the magical antics of Mr Potter and indeed, the
supernatural exploits of Bella and Edward, but…it doesn’t mean I
want to see them in every personal statement I read – and I read a
lot!
Remember that in order to stand out from the
crowd, you need to talk about something other than the norm.

have to spend every waking moment doing work experience or taking
part in ten different after school activities. .
