Support York St John
In May 2006 York St John established its first Development
Office. The Development Office (formerly known as the Office
for Institutional Advancement) Team engages with the York St John
community and external partners to secure funds; enabling us to
meet our mission of providing an 'excellent, open and progressive
higher education experience that embraces differences, challenges
prejudice and promotes justice shaped by our Church
foundation'. It is our aim to raise unrestricted funds
through a variety of sources including philanthropic giving to
enhance our community, providing an outstanding learning
environment and experience for YSJ students and staff.

The Development Team: (L-R) Kate Hutchings, Professor
Andy Smith, Brett Arnall
Why support York St John
University?
The University seeks support from
individuals and organisations who believe in our mission to provide
an excellent, open and progressive higher education that embraces
differences, challenges prejudice and promotes justice shaped by
our Church foundation.
Building on this foundation we:
- Provide widely accessible opportunities to lifelong learning,
underpinned by scholarship and research
- Extend and deepen our external contribution regionally,
nationally and globally
- Foster a supportive, creative, critical and reflective
community which promotes personal and professional development for
both students and staff
In delivering our mission we award degrees and professional
qualifications across a range of science, arts and humanities
disciplines.
York St John University is an extraordinary place full of
energetic people. Over the last five years we have invested heavily
in our campus and have moved from college status to University
status.
